Help us partner with Christ in God’s mission at Ward Street Church, which was recommissioned as a Mission Church at Annual Conference.
The ascending Christ promised we could always find him in “the least of these.” At Ward Street, we encounter the risen Christ every day among the poor of High Point. We invite you and your group to be involved in making a difference in our community.
Ward Street Mission needs volunteers (individuals and groups) for a few hours as you are available to sort and fold clothes, to be after-school tutors for children, or use whatever gifts you have.
We need material donations for the following community ministries:
Food Pantry: pinto beans, white beans, pork & beans, green beans, corn, canned tomatoes, tomato soup, soups with meat, beef stew, chili, spam, tuna, salmon, canned fruit, applesauce, peanut butter, jelly, dry beans, rice, dry milk, oatmeal, macaroni and cheese.
Clothes Closet: Blue jeans, tennis shoes (especially for elementary school ages) and used bras.
Furniture/Appliances: Clean, unbroken used furniture and working used appliances
Scout uniforms: Used Cub and Girl Scout uniforms
Bikes: New and used bikes, 20 inches and up, helmets, locks.
